Transparent Pricing Built on Clarity and Value
Interior pricing should not feel confusing, cheap, or inflated.
It should feel fair, honest, and easy to understand.
At Interiors by DeX, we believe pricing works best when it is explained upfront, without jargon or hidden costs. Our goal is not to be the cheapest option, but to help homeowners clearly understand what they are paying for and why.
This approach helps filter serious homeowners and avoids unpleasant surprises later.
How We Approach Pricing
We strongly believe that quoting the full cost upfront is the most respectful way to work with homeowners.
Many interior companies quote low initially and increase costs later. We consciously avoid this practice.
What we follow instead:
Transparent and upfront pricing
No underquoting to win projects
No confusing terminology
No hidden charges
No aggressive upselling during execution
We believe homeowners who understand the value behind the pricing are the right long-term partners for us.
Indicative Pricing for Chennai Homes
Interior pricing varies based on scope, materials, and level of customisation. The ranges below are meant to give you a realistic starting point.
These are indicative ranges. Final pricing depends on your specific needs.
Why Prices Vary From Home to Home
Interior pricing is not one-size-fits-all. The cost of your project is influenced by:
Home size and layout
Overall scope of work
Modular versus on-site carpentry
Level of finishes and materials
Design detailing and complexity
Renovation versus new home
For example, a wardrobe with a single laminate finish costs differently from one with multiple finishes and detailing.
Non Negotiables at Interiors by DeX
Every project at Interiors by DeX includes the following, without additional charges:
Interior design involvement
Project management
Site supervision
Quality checks at every stage
After-sales support
5-year replacement guarantee on modular products
Design support for out-of-scope selections like loose furniture or curtains
Basic cleaning and debris removal after completion
These are part of how we work, not optional add-ons.
Setting Clear Expectations
To avoid confusion later, the following are typically not included unless specified in the proposal:
Appliances
Loose furniture
Decorative items
Deep cleaning services
Any work outside the agreed scope
Cost changes due to design or scope changes during execution
Anything outside the signed scope is discussed and approved before proceeding.
Modular vs On Site Carpentry Pricing
Modular solutions
Modular units are factory produced, which reduces material wastage and allows simpler, faster installation. They are designed for functionality and long-term daily use.
On-site carpentry
On-site carpentry is usually required for unusual shapes, sizes, or design-driven elements. It involves higher material wastage, specialised manpower, and greater execution complexity, which makes it slightly more expensive.
Both approaches are durable. Modular focuses on efficiency and usage, while custom carpentry focuses more on aesthetics and comfort.
How Payments Are Scheduled
We follow a clear stage-wise payment structure:
10 percent advance at project confirmation
50 percent upon design completion
40 percent upon material delivery
Final payment is linked to material delivery, not just timelines.
Price Stability and Transparency
Once designs, specifications, and scope are finalised, the price remains unchanged.
Pricing may change only in cases such as:
Scope additions or removals
Finish or material upgrades
Unexpected site conditions in renovation projects
If there are no changes in scope or specifications, the agreed price does not change.
Setting the Right Expectations
Interiors by DeX may not be the right fit if you:
Are looking for very low-grade or cheapest materials
Are comparing us directly with individual carpenters or vendors
Are benchmarking against entry-level contractors
Our pricing includes professional design, structured project management, quality execution, after-care services, and strong guarantees.
